He solved my problem within 5 weeks with a simple set of x rays.Had surgery said wouldn’t have any more problems.He answered my questions and generally concerned at. helping his patients.
I've had several appointments with Dr. Lucas this year, he has helped me by steering me to a rhuemetogist for further diagnosis of my foot problems and by prescribing great orthotics, and by being straightforward in explaining my somewhat outside the norm foot condition. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough in his approach to treatment. I have also found his staff to be excellent, they answer the phone without any "press one for..." . That is so welcome! Dr Lucas was fantastic, very thorough, friendly and explained everything. All though I did not have surgery as yet as explained I do know what is wrong and what needs to be done. The women in the front are not friendly at least the one that checked me out and even though I paid my co-pay at the visit the billing office is sending me statements regarding the co-pay and calling them they act as if you are lying that you paid it at the visit and I even told them the transaction code on the statement that I saved. Dr Lucas is fantastic. I had a broken foot with 3 fractures and a badly sprained ankle. He was recommended to me by ER on a Sunday night. I called his office on Monday and they got me in on Wednesday. His office has xray equipment so I didn't have to go elsewhere for that. I was in a great deal of pain and his exam was thorough but gentle. He has a very comforting demeanor and answered all my questions and showed me my xrays and marked where the fractures were. Scheduled appointment for big toe pain (both feet). Dr. Lucas was very competent with good patient interface, Injected my left big toe joint and I experienced immediate relief from pain in this area. Diagnosis for right toe area was calcification with no follow-up required for this area.
Fantastic down to earth foot doctor!!!
I tried calling his office for over 1 hour , phone just kept ringing . When I finally got through the receptionist answered " hello ." I asked is this Dr.Lucas office because that info was not stated by person answering the phone and I got a very annoyed YES. Told her my problem and she asked what insurance I had . Told her Medicare was my primary and then I was told he is booked 6 weeks out . Really ? I told her I was asked to see him by another doctor and he wanted me in ASAP . Nothing she do
