Had a fantastic experience at PM this week... Delaney Brown was my stylist and readily admitted that she had not worked with ethnic or natural hair before. But she was so cheerful and excited to learn (even though I came in with my hair looking a hot mess) Lamonte(?) guided her; he was super patient and an excellent teacher to both myself and Delaney. This is the 2nd call I made to enquire about scheduling a tour. Texted with Daphe for selecting the Katy location, but no respnse at all. Poor service, is this how you treat potential customers/students?
I can't say enough about this school. The creativity of the students and overall knowledge of the teachers is astounding. The level of professionalism they have achieved in a learning atmosphere is above and beyond what is expected in such a setting. The instructors have set such a high bar for the students that you would never know I had my hair done at a learning salon. My hair much healthier and stronger leaving the salon that when I went in. Dez and Taylor have done amazing job each time I gave gone into Paul Mitchell the school of Houston! Highly recommend both ladies,they take pride, have ambition and love what they are learning!
Yesterday was my 1st time at the school ... I went for a shampoo and just my own hair braided back ... the service was good the students were really nice, the shampoo felt really good!! I loved my outcome !! Not to mention there was a fundraiser going on and the instructor Ms Shamika made chipotle style bowls , the food was better than chipotle!!! She is an amazing cook!! Sign me up for all fundraisers she does !!!
Tyler was great! He's so kind and patient. He wants to learn and wants to make sure you love your hair when you leave. Ms. Shelita and Ms. Mae were the instructors that assisted. They utilized the teaching moment, made sure Tyler felt okay doing it, then watched from a good distance like a proud parent. There's a good team at this Houston location. I hope to see this trio next time!
