Dr. Paul is an amazing surgeon. He not only has amazing credentials and skills he listens to his patients and actually cares! Having recently moved to the area from Boston MA I was very concerned about finding a surgeon quickly after my recent ER experience. My husband saw his name and excellent education and wonderful reviews. We made an appointment and met with him. Surgery has been done and I am good as new. Thank you! He is truly a gift and we are so glad to have Dr Paul in our medical life.

Incredible experience with Dr Derek Paul, who absolutely saved my life after an emergency surgery due to a ruptured appendix. He is experienced, knowledgeable and caring. We are very lucky to have this caller of surgeon available to us in this area. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Paul was called on a Sunday, his day off when he was not on call when my husband had what we thought could be an emergency. He did not hesitate and met him at the hospital within the hour. As it turned out, he had a ruptured appendix. The surgery, which also included a hernia repair, was performed successfully. The recovery was great and the aftercare was exemplary. I know of other people in the area who have been patients of Dr. Paul and everyone gives glowing recommendations.

Five stars are not enough... Dr. Paul and his staff, Janice and Emilie, met me at the beginning of my breast cancer journey. Their regard and genuine attention to my anxiety assuaged my fear, helping to replace it with hope by actively listening and ensuring I was well-informed to make well-educated choices in my treatment plan. Their professionalism and patient-care approach cannot be measured in stars... Thank you!

Dr Paul performed 2 surgeries on me. The 2nd was emergency in the middle of the night and he was going on vacation that morning. He could have left me to another surgeon. He is so compassionate and caring with his patients. An amazing man.

after being diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time I knew what came next, surgery! 11 years ago I went to Jacksonville for my mastectomy, Mayo Clinic was the best. Well, after seeing Dr.Paul it was without a doubt that he was the best doctor for me. From my first appointment his staff was kind, informative and knowledgeable. Dr.Paul explained everything to me, his bedside manner was impeccable! He will be in my prayers from this day forward!

Dr. Paul fit me in to his busy surgical calendar when I presented with the need for an inguinal hernia repair. This was my first experience with the doctor, and with the Indian River Medical Center surgical team. I have practiced hospital dentistry for many years and was aware of the standards of care. I was very happy with the level of care that I received, and with the surgical result. Dr. Paul was fantastic. I have absolute confidence in his knowledge and skills, and with his surgical team.
