I've known Dr. Hamori for many years and know him to be a very honorable person and Doctor. Your assessment of his new service is completed off base. First off, Doctors in his practice must pay a large portion of any fee/service back to hospital they represent. In addition, all costs such as rent, supplies, staff , etc. must be burdened by the doctor. Not sure if you've noticed, but costs for all of this are sky rocking. Dr. Hamori has been my doctor since 1996 and he was my father’s doctor prior to that. My husband called today for an appointment and was informed that beginning in August 2022 Dr. Hamori will require $1800 from each patient yearly as he has 1000 patients and wants to get down to 400. The receptionist called this concierge medicine, however, was unable to explain what the $1800 would cover other than that is the yearly rate to be his patient. I have been going to Dr. Hamori for quite a few years and can't say enough good things about him and his staff. He really cares about his patients and I trust him totally. When I recently moved I did not want to change doctors so I continue to see him even though it is now a 45 minute drive one-way to his office. My husband also sees Dr. Hamori and shares my views that he is an outstanding doctor.
