Many years ago when I just moved to this area I took my son to Northwestern Pediatrics and had an unfortunately experience with Dr. Martin. He was one of the most unprofessional doctors I've encountered. After I briefly described my son's symptoms and told him my theory of what he got, Dr. Martin didn't ask any other follow-up questions to get a better understanding, but instead went off of my guess and started sharing how his son (or nephew, I forgot) had something similar. 18 years with doctor Martin, and we are moving on from his pediatric practice. Personally loved him because he’s as anxious as I am about health concerns. I always had the feeling that he treated my kids exactly as he treated his own children. We got that treatment at every visit without fail because it’s just how he cares for people. Dr. Martin saw my toddler for cold symptoms that kept him out of daycare and required doctor clearance to return. Although Dr. Martin was friendly and professional, he spent the entire appt talking about the allergies that he was convinced our son had and barely addressed his current cold symptoms. He even his photos on his phone of allergy medicine recommendations for children to inform us, which felt odd.
