We used Patriot for 13+ years. Their service was spotty, but the price was fair. Recently cancelled with over 2 months left in the year that I prepaid in order to receive a discount. Upon asking for the refund of what was owed to me on the remainder of the year, I was told that the yearly rate is "basically you pay for 10 months and get 2 months free....so you're in your 2 free months and we owe you nothing." Sorry you felt wronged but our standard Monitoring rate is $17/mo. or $170/yr when you pay by the year you get 2 months free. You canceled your service near the end of August, your normal yearly payment is paid in October (2months) therefore your paid monitoring was up.
Quick service and best price in town. Can't go wrong with patriot.
Well, my wife now has been using them for years. We got married over a year ago and we called to inform them of the name change and that I needed to be the primary person to call and that all the other numbers were people that moved out of state or got married themselves. Bill came in the mail today with my wife's maiden name and I know for a fact that I'm not on the call list as the alarm was set off a couple times and I never got a call.
