Recently ordered a new 9hp (CSV-3090H) unit, and got great customer service when I made my phone call: to ask about the product specs. Lynne was great at helping direct my call to Keith, who gave me detailed insight into which chipper would best suit my needs. He explained that the 9hp unit uses a Honda commercial-grade engine (I always favor Honda products, since I've had good luck with them in the past), and that the inclusion of such a beefy engine allows them to use the tri-plate, heavy-duty rotor. BUYER BEWARE. I was looking for a wood chipper/shredder to help support some research and development of a botanical product. This company not only has TERRIBLE customer service practices, it also uses false advertising to sell their products. Their equipment does not do what their website says it does. We purchase the 9 hp chipper with the Honda engine. It was delivered without issues in two boxes. Assembly was straight forward. We have been more than impressed with its performance. This is a solid machine ( I can’t stress that enough) that mulches anything 3 inches or less in diameter. We have used it to clear an area of pine and birch trees. The machine does exactly what they claim. Highly recommend this company and this chipper!
