Horrendous bedside manner. Spent the entire appt discussing politics and was zero help. Kept repeating there are “many programs available” but didn’t want to take the time to tell us what he was referring to. Very arrogant, very demeaning.
I just had a hip replacement on 05/31/2024 and Dr. Mulkey is AWESOME!! I have had knee replacements from other surgeons but I have had a wonderful experience with him and his staff. Dr. Mulkey really cares about his patients, he made this whole process so easy. The follow up visits with his assistant, Allison was wonderful, she is very kind, thorough and very prompt with any questions or requests. What a great team they make...I am so greatful that I was under their care. Thank you so much for your great services.
Dr. Mulkey was so quick to tell us that my mother was better off with a total knee replacement, that it was going to improve her quality of life. That he couldn't go in and do surgery to fix her broken femur because she has osteoporosis. I wish I would have said just put a cast or something to allow it to heal giving my mom's health issues. I was very impressed with the Dr, however his office staff who is in charge of scheduling appointments was most unprofessional. I called to schedule a procedure. I sent in all required information and she did NOT call me or return a call despite multiple attempts to schedule my procedure. I ended up going to different Dr and getting immediate attention. I would NOT recommend this Dr only because of his scheduling person. She cost him a patient.
Dr. Mulkey is a first rate surgeon. He replaced both of my hips (still in PT after second surgery) and recovery is good. His calm and caring demeanor let me know I was in good hands (no pun intended). He was thorough in his assessment and did not rush into a surgical diagnosis. My quality of life has been restored.
