I always give 5 stars, but I was not thrilled with my last visit. I saw Dr. McDonel for the first time and I am not a fan. He did not really explain things to me as to why my eyesight in one eye has returned to it's previous condition before my cataract surgery. And I did not get a straight answer to my questions. He simply changed my prescription. I am planning to schedule another appointment with Dr. Miranda.
St Luke's is a great place to care for your vision. I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes. The options were well explained, and my expectations well managed. I think one key to SL's great care is the "farm system" they have with a number of primary care vision specialists (mine is Dr Causey, who is excellent). These doctors provide normal eye care (three years worth for me), and refer you to the cataract surgery center if and when you need it. My care at the surgery center was outstanding.
