Dr Gilligan is well spoken, extremely knowledgeable and professional. In particular he explained all aspects of how he does a full knee replacement using the Mako robotic arm, in detail, pointing out the benefits of cutting bone at precise angles based on the patient's actual structure (from a ct scan) in order to maintain the leg's exact alignment. Dr. Gilligan is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him. His surgical skills are excellent, he explains things to the patient and answers questions. He is all you could want in a surgeon.
My wife got her right hip replaced by Dr. Gilligan. Hannah staff did an outstanding job of helping my wife understand what was going to happen and actually doing the surgery. He does anterior hip replacement (shorter recovery times and better outcomes) with robotic assist (the robot measures things to the nearest millimeter and helps ensure precise placement of the new hip joint). I will be going to him when my time comes. Highly recommend him.
