After scheduling a colonoscopy and prepping for it, I found out on my appointment day that I WAS NOT ON THE SCHEDULE. After leaving the Outpatient facility, I called the office to find out WHAT HAPPENED. I was told by the office manager, that she had no recollection and that she would call the Outpatient facility to fit me in on that day. I was told they would, and that there was a cancellation. I waited two and a half hours and then called the office to find out how much longer I would need to wait. I was told a few more mi... read more
Scheduled appointment as 2nd opinion. Doctors office wanted all previous records, which we delivered 2 weeks before appointment. At the day of appointment the doctor only made a brief appearance, had not reviewed the prior history at all and wanted to start all over with the same tests that had already been preformed. Certainly not prepared, so not a doctor i'd recommend.
Absolutely
I have never experienced what seemed as a lack of concern for my care as I did in this office. I went in for a second opinion because of severe episodes of diarrhea. I saw the Dr. for 10 minutes and he ordered blood work. I never heard back from him and placed several calls to the office which were never returned. He finally had his nurse call me to tell me to eliminate gluten from my diet without an endoscopic confirmation. I did not receive the treatment or consideration that I personally give to my patients. Needless to s... read more
Unconcerned with giving a comprehensive diagnosis. Kept me waiting for over three months after initial visit even though I’d been experiencing uncomfortable symptoms for many months. Still no answers. Just a colonoscopy assembly line. Very disappointing!
Probably the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I can't believe he's allowed to practice at such a reputable hospital as Holy Cross. I went to him for severe acid reflux. I couldn't have been in his office more than 90 seconds when he immediately said I need an endoscopy (without even looking into my throat) and -- while he was at it -- a colonoscopy. After the procedure and the nurse saying "it could be cancer," he or his staff NEVER called with the results. I had to call them. Don't go.
On March 28th I went for an outpatient procedure endoscopy and Dr Patrick Amar nicked my pancreas and I end up 4 days in the hospital and over $4000 in out of pocket bills. The Dr only came to see me “once” in the hospital after almost killing me. Stay away from this guy he is dangerous.
Not very communicative, didn't even call me with results from endoscopy. Office staff short and not very helpful. Which makes sense because I found Dr. Amar a bit rude. It all trickles down.
One of the worst experiences. Would never recommend to anyone. Very arrogant attitude and acted as if I was just a waste of his time. Left feeling worse than when I came in. I would think as physician you would want to help your patients and make them feel welcome.
