Listens well to concerns and takes time to explain things. Once you find a good psychiatrist like Dr. Hess, hold on to them. They are hard to come by.

Dr. Hess is an excellent pediatric psychiatrist. We have had struggles with years in finding a psychiatrist who shows kindness, genuine interest, and excellent knowledge in treating children. My son has suffered from depression and anxiety since he was very young and she connected with him from the beginning. We brought another one of our sons to see her and had the same experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Hess as a pediatric psychiatrist!

Treatment for my condition was delayed considerably under Dr. Hess' care. After my 3rd or 4th appointment I brought up the possibility of ADHD and she shot it down quickly. She had me repeat to her that I didn't need that kind of medication, would never need that kind of medication, and should not ever use it because "The people in medical school who used that medication did well on exams but didn't turn out to be good doctors." I moved and am now recieving appropriate treatment for my ADHD.

Dr. Hess is awesome. She listens and gives her best advice but before writing a script, she actually makes sure that it is going to be a good fit for you. If or whenever I was uncomfortable with something I told her and problems were solved. She is a very nice and approachable doctor. She also stays away from prescribing addictive medication. Shes very intelligent and extreamly nice. Not only is she my ADHD medication provider but she also helps me with problems I have because of my ADHD.
