I have been a patient for 20 years and even when I lived in Austin I still came to Waco to see Dr Patricia Wilcox. I would never dream of going anywhere else.
Stay away from both of them. I’m am so much sicker now since they didn’t follow through and follow up.im self pay
Very personable and concerned for my healthcare and assuring my needs were met.
Overall, I would not recommend Dr. Wilcox. It takes about a month to get an appointment with her, which would be fine, except that once you get in to see her, she seems to be in a rush to move on to the next patient. She prescribed antibiotics for my finger infection instead of draining it, which needed to be done. I ended up having to do it myself, which wasn't safe. Also, her front desk staff is cold and not friendly. I'm making the switch to another family practice doc in town.
In my opinion, Dr. wilcox is by far the most caring, insightful, personable physician I've ever seen. She takes her time asking questions, listens carefully & explains everything thoroughly. It took me 3mo. to get an appt. , but once I did, all of my medical issues were carefully dealt with, and she follows through with the best continuity of care I've ever experienced. Most grateful to her and her lovely staff.
My very first appointment was terrific but every appointment after that she missed details. She contradicts herself -when I'm in her office she says everything is fine but when she post my test results she says I need more bloodwork. She also over reacts when there is a problem.
