Went to Patient First, Saturday July 15, 2017 morning. I was misdiagnosed with just a viral infection. I was told to take Mucinex-D. I asked her if she had looked at my chart because I have a condition that doesn't allow me to take Mucinex-D. She said 'oh you're right you can't take Mucinex-D'. I went n for a simple physical and ended up paying $200.00 due to a doctor or biller incorrectly coding the visit (My wife's visit was paid by the insurance). They didn't want to work with us either.
I have been a registered nurse for 25 years. Customer Service and patient safety are extremely high in priority to me. In August, 2014, my teen-aged son suffered a foreign body foot injury. We arrived at Laurel, Maryland Patient First shortly after 7:30pm. Staff members were attentive and appeared helpful and concerned. The attending physician attempted twice unsuccessfully (with X-rays between attempts, for accuracy of locating the object) to remove the pellet from his foot.
