The organization as a whole works in a way to deny the patient services that are ordered by the provider even if the patient has the insurance benefit for it. After doing research, these home care agencies including Patient Care get reimbursed by insurance through "bundled payments." Therefore, if Patient Care sends out their PT 1 time per week instead of the 3 times per week (which was ordered by the orthopedic surgeon), Patient Care profits more. Absolutely the worst care and service I've had with any Physical Therapy practice for myself, my parents and my in-laws. There office staff are unprofessional, the care is subpar, and one has to fight to get them to discharge patients. My Mom can't walk now and we've been fighting to get her out of Patient Care and to a practice that offers better care for almost 6 weeks. Had a nice Physical Therapist named, Tara, she got upset because I had gotten Covid & I had to stop seeing her. She got upset that I couldn't see her when she tried to come to The Assisted Living Apt. @ Chestnut Hill. She would pop in to see me but I didn't have the time or my wellness.
