I have experienced the same as other commenters with having this out of network place being billed to my insurance and denied, when I received treatment from Sentara. Per my insurance, I made a request for the claim coding to be fixed with provider and location. Will update if the outcome changes.
My labs were ordered and drawn at a Sentara Medical Group office. They were sent to Sentara hospitals to run and send results to the Sentara doctors. I got an EOB (no bill yet) saying the lab work was sent to Pathology Sciences Medical Group PC and is out of network. There is no address or phone number for them on my EOB. Clicking on the Google link takes you to a Sentara page. I received a bill for the first time in November from this place for thousands from a procedure done in MAY that my both my doctor and insurance company told me was all covered under my insurance. I did not EVER receive any notice that “additional testing” especially out of network testing would be done. I only consented to treatment from my doctor who is IN NETWORK. They like to get worried mothers to do test not covered by insurance and then sell the bill to a collection agency. You probably don't have a choice when dealing with them, but just know they are scum.
