In my recent experience at a PATH certified establishment as a volunteer I was subjected to emotional abuse and unsafe conditions for both people and horses. It was run by a very elderly woman with severely diminished mental and physical capacities who was unable to provide any appropriate guidance or safety protocols for her clients, volunteers and horses.
