Nicest doctor I’ve ever dealt with
Dr. Patel pays attention unlike any doctor I have ever met. He spends time with you, listens and looks you in the eye. He is interested in your family life, your life. No 5 minute appointment with him mostly typing on the computer in his office as other doctors do! He listens to what I think is going on and what I know about my body. He is never dismissive. This practice is the most accommodating health care provider I have ever had. No matter what or when questions come up we can always count on getting answers in a timely manner. One occasion we were about an hour out on a cruise and my wife had a problem that concerned her, not life threating but scary to my wife. This was on a Saturday and Dr. Patel, using his Tel a Med skills and great medical skills had my wife reassured and pointed in the right direction to use the on board physicians. His deep concern and medical expertise for my wife and I have been our saving grace. Whether it was his personal concern over the loss of our son, my wife’s concern, my heart condition or mental distress; he has always been there for us. He has always gone above and beyond what is necessary. I don’t what we would do without his guiding presence in our lives.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel. We have been with him since he first came to Southington. He is very companionate, understanding & listens to us with our concerns. He is very thorough and if he feels we need a specific test he orders it. We are very satisfied with Dr. Patel’s as our Primary Care Physician.
Dr. Patel has been treating my father for almost a year. Before my dad seen him, his A1C was elevated, hyperlipids and uncontrolled BP. Dr. Patel educated my father on the importance of proper nutrition. He tries his best to take a holistic approach to medicine. My dad and I love him! He truly cares and has a wonderful bedside manner. I cannot say enough good things about this special doctor.
Dr. Patel does not have a professional chair side manner. He will speak over you and not allow you to talk. He is very unprofessional. His primary focus is money oriented. He will try to sell you numerous types of studies that he can perform in his office which are not covered by insurance. I was a patient for 7 years. I missed one appointment and received a letter stating I owed a $50 fee before I could be seen again. Staff is rude and uneducated in their job responsibilities
Dr. Patel is patient, kind and takes time to LISTEN and explain. Excellent bedside manner and committed to helping and healing. I really can't say enough great things about him.
