Extremely expensive. $423 yellow fever shot, $228 typhoid shot and $147 tetanus shot, plus a $125 office fee.

There are much better options. First, operations could be improved. I showed up for my appointment only to find a dark office. They had cancelled my appointment less than an hour before, during my commute to the site. Second, you can get most of these vaccines for a fraction of the price elsewhere. Check UCSF or your PCP. Even if your PCP doesn’t have the vaccine on site, they can usually give you a prescription and you can just get it at your local pharmacy.

Ignacio is great and I had a comfortable time getting all my travel vaccines. However the information that the person provided on the phone (not Ignacio) was incorrect and I ended up paying significantly more than I needed to for my travel vaccines because this was out of network. The person on the phone told me I just needed to check if the codes were covered by my insurance (they are) but the provider/location are NOT covered so I paid thousands of dollars for vaccines that would have been so much cheaper had I gone somewh... read more
