Yesterday was the 7th time I was there for registration for dual enrollment with one of my kids. The system has not improved at all since my oldest was first dual enrolled. We spent 6 hours there in line, mostly outside. Once we reached an advisor, she was wonderful. I believe her name was Kathryn. But they need to either increase their staff that day or allow online registration.
My daughter was in line for 7 hours to register for dual enrollment. At one point, the staff took lunch and those in line were left to just sit. I have never seen anything so disorganized. Good grief, I registered for classes before computer registration existed and it was never this horrible. Allow online registration or have more than one day and assign the day/times by GPA. There has to be a better way.
My daughter is a Senior and she has been online today for 5 hours to try and select classes for dual enrollment. She was given a time of 1:00pm to arrive and she arrived early. They told them that the office is closing at 6pm and so it is highly doubtful that she will even get in to select classes. Don't you think you should have a more efficient way of registering these students like online? This is absolutely ridiculous.
After nearly a decade out of school, I returned to PHSC. I enjoyed the beautiful New Port Richey campus, tucked into all it's natural surroundings. It was a great environment to focus and study away from the the bustle of any highway. I also appreciated the active campus and social media to keep students in the know, enjoying their down time, and participating in opportunities in the community.
