When I first came to Pasadena Villa The Grove, I felt hopeless and defeated. I felt worthless and did not speak up for my needs. I would highly recommend Pasadena Villa after my 30 day treatment at this facility. From the first day to now I was able to improve my social skills, medication management, and eating habits. The staff and my peers were very kind and made me feel accepted into the group. I no longer stuggle in managing my medications with the routines that I learned here. Pasadena Villa saved my life. As a client, I felt supported by the staff. The therapists, doctors, RNs, techs, even the kitchen staff were invested in my care. The structure and schedule was a challenge at first. I wanted to rebel and do it my way. But I was there for help and I needed to trust the process. The groups were focused and helpful. I was very anxious about coming to The Grove, after being in short term crisis stabilization programs multiple times over the years, I wasn't confident in my capacity for healing and change. I was also wary of the program and how it would be operated as I have had poor experiences in past programs in addition to having a professional background in the mental health field. We went with high hopes that were quickly crushed. Ryan wouldn't acknowledge my adult son's apecial needs. Sandra lied and said my son, who hadn't even finished admissions, threatened to unalive a roommate he never even met. He was sent to the hospital after being there only a few hours, but I wasn't notified until 7 hours later. A complete nightmare
