I ordered my first set transition glasses. However, I was never advised by the staff that the transition glasses I ordered would not transition in the car! When I returned to the store to ask why, she said it would cost another $180 for them to transition in the car and always have a tint and never be clear again. I said they don't transition inside the car or even in the sun. She put the glasses under a high intensity lamp to prove they darken, That caused the lenses to have a green hue. The past two times, my eye exam was not done by a licensed optometrist. Instead, an assistant does the exams and determines your eyeglasses perscription. I had to have my exam redone last time by the actual optometrist and he changed my perscription quite a bit, requiring me to have my brand new glasses re-done with the accurate perscription. Had my eye exam today , the 29th at opti-mart. The staff is always very nice and the Dr. Is very professional and kind. Jerome helped to get my new frames ready for the lab. He answered all my questions, was very kind and knowledgeable. I felt he really cared about me as a customer. He was fantastic! Pamela Spencer

The doctors were excellent the back staff were good. The front staff,meh. My main complaint was that I used my year old eye glass frame to be fittied with new lenses. When I wanted to pick them up,I noticed that my frame was cracked! The clerk couldn't care less. The lady fitting glasses said it was my fault by submitting my own frames! I was furious never the less and yelled out loud -she wanted me to shut up. She "offered" a frame not my first choice but otherwise I would have had to pay for another frame. I refused. First of all I Can’t say enough wonderful things about Opt-mart at the Sun City location. The staff is outstanding from Kaitlin the Optical Area Manager - totally fantastic, knowledgeable & personable. Beatriz - she’s sweet, personable & knowledgeable. They must discriminate against Medicaid because this is the second time I've had to use them and the second time they've put me through months on end of waiting for my glasses their process leaves a lot to be desired and they like to tell a lot of stories on the telephone as to what they did that they actually did not do

Medicaid required a written medical necessity from the eye doctor requesting that transition lenses would benefit my condition in order for the insurance to approve of them. The doctor wrote that prescription yet it took several phone calls in a month and a half for OPTi mart to act on it for their own approval department to deny the doctors request . OPTi mart spent a month and a half wasting my time to only not approve it in their approval department they then said they would make me sunglasses and I am still waiting as ... read more

Not a fan. Wrong glasses. Wrong lense in one eye. My husband had to threaten to stop the credit card payment to get them to correct anything. Doctor was very nice. I got another exam and correction. The lady waiting on us not even close to being polite. Will never go back.

Excellent experience. The dr is professional and efficient. The office staff were friendly and so helpful. I highly recommend Opti-mart in Crystal River If.
