This is the best doctor that I have ever come across. We brought our 11-month old son there yesterday. He read the entire medical history before, knew a few things we didn't know on our own child's medical history, and was extremely perceptive. Our kid also liked him -- wonderful doctor.
He literally said “you brought him in here because he’s fussy?” After my infant just started a new medicine 2 days prior and was getting worse...
Both daughters have seen Dr. May since 2001. He is knowledgeable, thorough, detail oriented, follows appropriate standards of care, and communicates well. People who rated him lower might be put off that Dr. May is not chatty. But he is friendly, not brusque, and spends the time to address all issues. We chose him initially, because he was the only pediatrician in Ellicott City with practicing privileges at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Large enough group of drs (all good) so we can be seen same day.
Dr. May has treated both of my sons since birth beginning seven years ago. He listens to my concerns and explains things to me in a clear manner. I highly recommend.
I have been taking my children to see Dr. May for 27 years. He has always been very responsive to my children's needs. The practice has grown a lot through the years and has always provided my children with excellent care. My kids are ages 27, 15 and 10. My oldest was diagnosed with Austism Spectrum Disorder at age 6 and Dr. May has been very helpful in making sure we were addressing our son's medical needs appropriately.
Great doctors My children all go to Parnes, May, & Associates. There is a great play area that the children love. The staff is great and they always remember my kids. I hear horror stories from other Moms about not being able to get an appointment when their kids are sick. I always get same day - mostly within an hour or two. There are enough doctors to choose from - women for older girls if needed. You can always request to have your preferred doctor except on emergencies. My kids get excellent care here.
