Not sure what happened. They were my favorite donut place, now it feels cold and punitive when I walk in. Get your donuts and GO. But even the donuts seem cold and lifeless now. The batch I got tasted like fryer oil throughout. Not again, such a shame. Who killed this place?
I visited Parlor Donuts this morning for the second time, and while I enjoy the donuts and coffee, the drive-through experience could use some improvement. My order was a latte with syrup and two donuts, but only one donut was given at first until I asked about the second. The total wait time was just over 15 minutes, which felt long for a smaller order. There was a misunderstanding and my husband did not pick up our $36 donut order yesterday. He did however spend around $20 in there. Anyways, II thought no big deal I will get them later that evening when I was going to Owensboro. I was unaware they closed at 4 pm and I was not in owensboro until later. (I have stopped at one in Evansville in the evenings before.) We stopped to get a few donuts and drinks. The seats were being taken up by the owner or manager and a photography team doing advertising I assume for them so we couldn’t sit. The young lady at the counter was fine the owner/manager seemed bothered to have to come help her. Take your business to Gramps where the owner is friendly. Even a person behind us walked in looked and walked out.
