3 weeks ago i found my dog outside and he was unable to get up,move or anything. We had to get a blanket to be able to move him (140lb dog) i live about a mile or so from here, they refused to see him and they weren’t nice at all. Didn’t attempt to see if they could help. Pretty much just rude! So took him down the st to vinton vet hospital, they rushed him in without question and he was placed on life support being his brain was deprived of oxygen for so long and had started developing brain damage. I have had nothing but great experiences here at parkway veterinary hospital . Each and everyone there shows so much compassion to ours dogs. If you are looking for a great vet that cares what best for your pet Dr. Bolen is the one !!
We recently had our boxer there for favoring her front paw. They did X-rays and said they didn’t see anything but maybe arthritis gave her meds they did not work so I came and got a copy of the X-rays to take to a vet in Radford for a second opinion and upon viewing the X-rays and watching video of how she gets around. Dr Lawrence suggested sedating her and doing more extensive X-rays and we found out she has bone cancer. The staff are very friendly, listen to what you have to say and responsibly priced! I wouldn’t want to take my pets anywhere else! Dr. Bolen is excellent at what she does and very understanding!
Dr. Bolen is a superior vet with such a compassionate heart! Her prices are fair and she never orders unneeded tests. All of her staff go out of their way to provide excellent customer service.

The Grace and Dignity you have shown for Missy and Mollie have gone above and beyond anything that we have ever expected. You pouring of Love for our dogs is beyond measure. Thanks to all of you for your kindness and sympathy when we needed it the most..Losing our babies just 3 weeks apart was a bit much. �
Called to get appointment with new pup as new patient but told it would be 2 weeks. That was ok but the receptionist was quit rude about it. I will not use or recommend this hospital. First impressions do matter�
