Excellent care by an involved, cordial, well-educated and professional staff can be expected here. They are now hindered by the decision of the affiliate hospital to outsource lab services to LabCorp. Currently, multiple days turn- around and reduced hours for lab results that could alter medical decisions, leading to undesirable outcomes for patients. Dr. O’Brien has been our pediatrician for 20 years and is the most gentle soul we know. He has been so great with our kids at each stage of their lives and we insisted on keeping him as our pediatrician even though we’ve moved to the opposite side of Fort Wayne! AND his long-time Medical Assistant, Shawna, is a kind, caring, nurturing listener. She has been very good at helping our kids with fearful moments and at translating medical/healthcare jargon into plain English for us.
My children have been with Dr. Obrien since they were born. He is the most kind, caring, patient, and respectful doctor you can find. That goes for his nurses too. He has the sweetest staff altogether! I highly recommend taking your children here!
