3 stars for the room only because it reeked of cologne for some reason. Very cute in a historic way, free hot breakfast and parking was nice.
Service was okay. Woke up with someone else’s sock in my bed. Room wasn’t clean. Will not be back and do not recommend.
My son and I stayed here recently for a college visit to Syracuse. The rooms were nice enough and it was in a great location, not too far away from campus. It's a historic hotel but doesn't feel old or run-down in any way. We were disappointed in the breakfast as it featured a waffle maker, cold eggs and sausage, some toast/bagels, yogurt, and juice. The toilets in this hotel do not function. My family went to the hotel a few months ago and the toilet was clogged and then went again this past weekend. None of their bathrooms worked either time. There is 1 person working at the hotel and there are 8 floors. At least the first time , under old management, they at least had a plunger available. Shame they let this place go.
We booked a weekend trip for Saturday and Sunday. When we arrived we were told that our booking was actually for Friday and Saturday and we were "no shows". When we showed our confirmation email showing that no, we had booked for Saturday and Sunday we were told "well that isn't what we have." They offered no solutions, no apology and no explanation except to attempt to blame us for the mix up. We had even called to confirm earlier in the week and were told the correct dates.
