Some background music in the waiting room would be nice. Much too quiet in there.
I am very pleased with the care I am receiving at PBH in Decatur. I went to another facility in my area and felt like I was a experiment because they couldn’t get my medications right. The last counselor that I had their seemed like she didn’t have much experience with adult problems. My counselor here at PBH not only is listening to the train wreck my life has become, but she’s giving me the tools to get things back on track. Highly, highly recommend!!! Such a joke. It took everything I had to reach out for help and they won’t even see you without a referral from a doctor. Then after they get a referral they said I could get an appointment 6 months later! This is probably why our suicide rate is so high.
Can't keep a therapist when I went. Asked how to cope with my friends being suicidal, reported to CPS as me being suicidal, made a show of having CPS workers ask me Infront of an entire class. I went through three therapists in a years span as a tween. It was hard enough digging up trama the first time. Repeating the process, sadly, made me loose faith in these types of institutions for years. I'm nineteen now and have had much better therapists.
