When we toured the representative told us we would not need to turn on our gas because our unit did not have a fireplace. So, later, when we moved in I just turned on the electricity not the gas. Eight months later we get a huge charge on our rent. I call the office and leave a message but I got no reply. As a then-future resident of the apartments who accompanied the tour, I can say with certainty that our representative did, in fact, mislead us about the gas services. We were told, specifically, that the upper-level apartments did NOT need to turn the gas on BECAUSE we did not have a fireplace. Thus, in reliance of that statement, we only turned on the electric through National Grid.
