We have been waiting since March for my mothers headstone. I was told in March it would be 6-8 weeks . My aunt drove from Abbeville Ala. today to put flowers on her sisters grave - and no headstone. I will be contacting the BBB and an attorney. This if fraud.
They should be ashamed of the way they do call take care of this cemetery. They sure do take care of the estate section they have.
I go pretty often to check my parents graves and my sister's. Sometime I have to straighten up flower vases because of the elements but all 3 look ok. I take clippers and sometimes cut grass that has gotten a little long and take a little broom to sweep a little but but not enough to warrant all this negative talk about the cemetery.
STATING FACTS..1..compares to buying used lemon car.. representative came in, gave options and presented contract..no compassion2..plot and vault paid for but expect thousands to be charged in addition..3..funeral schedule simultaneously so arrangements had to be altered at last minute..3..Temporary marker had Mom's birthday instead if Dad's .(never corrected)4..granite slab wrong color,wrong size,and no vase ..just a piece of granite with jagged edges laid upon ground of dead grass ..tree nearby died and ugly mound of dirt ... read more
My daughter in laws father is buried here and they have a constant battle of keeping the lot cut back from bamboo. Each you it comes right up to the graves and the family has the bush cut the bamboo, not to mention having to redo the grass.
Parts of the cemetery are nice..but the older sections need work!
Many of my family members are buried there! My husband and I have 4 plots there also. The only complaint I have is that several times the tractors or trucks have run over my dad's grave/ headstone and never bothers to fix the grass they mess up! My husband is a landscaper and he has fixed it several times! Dad's grave is next to the sidewalk and if they have to run over it, then please fix it!!
