Avitrol is a neurotoxin that causes severe neurological symptoms like tremors and violent convulsions before resulting in a painful, torturous death. The birds cannot be saved once they've ingested it. The videos are heart-wrenching to watch. It's outright banned in some cities due to its cruelty.
