Was here for work and wanted a place where I could cook my own meals etc.. For that pupouse the Parkdale is just right if you don't mind a little outdated in- and exterior and the busy road out front. The Manager was always helpful and forthcomming. The Location is conveniently located so you can shop, do loundry and find anything you could need within a 5min drive. On offdays it is a short walk to Port Phillip amd Mordialloc Pier. Don't stay here. It's unsafe. It's used as crisis accommodation and shouldn't be used for normal stays due to safety risk.
If you want a grotty, cold room with a hard bed and constant traffic noise, then this is the place for you! Paper thin walls so you can hear your neighbours phone conversation all night! A bed with no doona but cheap polyester sheets. Thin scratchy towels in a grimy bathroom. This place is a total rip off and should be demolished immediately! It was so bad it was almost laughable!
Check in easy and staff was polite. I requested downstairs in writing during the online booking, however, we were given the top floor! What a shocker of a room, the paintwork was horrible and an obvious lack of maintenance. The bedding had not been made to present a flat, smooth surface. The faded stain on the bottom bed sheet left alot to be desired (yuk gross) It was obvious the carpet had not been vaccuumed as there was a 5 cent piece on the floor on one side of the bed, and some dried piece of banana on the other side.
