What once was a beautiful stay close to the beach — wow, how times have changed. This hotel is an absolute disgrace. I wouldn’t let my dog stay here, let alone a paying guest. The rooms I was shown were filthy, unsafe, and completely unacceptable for any accommodation provider. Both had soaking wet carpets, black mould climbing the walls from floor to ceiling, and heating/cooling units so clogged with grime it was obvious they hadn’t been serviced in years. Absolutely disgusting. They hadn't even wiped down the surfaces. There was dust all over the counter top. Dust all over the heater. I opened a drawer and there was a fake eye lash and visible dirt in it. My son went to dry his hands on one of the towels hanging up in the bathroom and noticed it was dirty. The BLOOD on the floor and steps in the bathroom sent us out the door immediately. Thankfully the lady at reception was very pleasant and gave us a refund immediately. Was here for work and wanted a place where I could cook my own meals etc.. For that pupouse the Parkdale is just right if you don't mind a little outdated in- and exterior and the busy road out front. The Manager was always helpful and forthcomming. The Location is conveniently located so you can shop, do loundry and find anything you could need within a 5min drive. On offdays it is a short walk to Port Phillip amd Mordialloc Pier.
