I am writing to warn current and future tenants regarding the severe safety risks and retaliatory management practices at Al Stober Construction Ltd. 1. Retaliation & Dishonesty: After I asserted my rights, management issued a retaliatory eviction notice. I challenged this through the RTB and won, with the arbitrator dismissing the eviction as invalid. If I could, I would give zero stars to the management of these buildings. In my experience, this place is absolutely not worth the stress. The building manager, Ken Thompson, was consistently petty, confrontational, and rude. I have reasons to believe he entered into my unit without prior notice, which I found unacceptable. When I moved out, $300 was deducted from my deposit for ‘cleaning,’ despite the fact that I had spent weeks making sure the apartment was spotless.
