Future renters: Please avoid renting an apartment in this building as it is infested with cockroaches. You will find roaches roaming even in the corridors. A TIP for future tenants, do inspect the door hinges of the garbage chute room. You will definitely find roaches there.
How about instead of increasing rent , you fix the many issues first. Cockroaches in elevators, huge bug infestation. Smelly hallways, burnt out lights in hallways, stains everywhere, heat not working in winter , but yet you will pay to have parking , pay 5 load to use laundry , the list is so long. The owners who probably don't even live in Canada and who probably get a ton of tax brakes don't care about the tenants. Need to move away asap as the building runs down + getting constantly worse. My building was infested by cockroaches way before we moved in. After their treatment, we see cockroaches at night still ! Also, I am annoyed by the ridiculous fire alarm that happens for hours to the point I have to go elsewhere to study. At night you quite often hear siren from car being broken into.
