I didn’t want to leave this review because I loved Dr. Chen but this practice leaves me no choice. First they billed me relentlessly for a cleaning exam that should have been covered by insurance. The first bill came SIX months after my visit. I called repeatedly to get answers but no one responded. MONTHS LATER they responded to me, but only after I threatened to contact the Attorney General’s office. I left a review and it didn’t show. Not sure why. So here I am. Went there for a routing cleaning and got billed for 105. Called the office at least five times and couldn’t get hold of anyone. Went to the office this morning and the bill was confusing. I couldn’t tell what I needed to pay for. Finally the receptionist printed a new bill. Told me that’s for routing oral evaluation. Went there for routine cleaning and got a bill for 105 and I checked my insurance claim. It said clearly patient pay 53. They charge me 105 for the same code. Called their office for at least 5 times for explanation and never got hold of anyone. I had to drive to the office to get an explanation. Was told that for periodic oral evaluation. The details were the dentist was supposed to ask some questions about my teeth which I am sure the dentist didn’t show up. Only the hygienist did the cleaning. I am echoing another review here. Seems like I am not the only one, why are they billing me a year later? Also for cleaning that was supposed to be free and insurance actually confirmed they were trying to charge me more than they were supposed to for some other things. I am also being charged for something that didn’t take place. What is going on?
