I have gotten 3 Dogs from here over the last 13 years and have zero health issues so far with any of them! Great animals from a lovely place. Was especially thankful they let my German Shepard meet the new puppy before we took him home to make sure there wasn’t going to be an issue! Love our fur babies and thankful for this local pet store!
Park Pet Shop is one of its kind. They are dedicated, very caring to the pets, very honest and are always willing to go an extra mile. I definitely recommend Park Pet Shop for all your pet needs, plus they always greet you with a smile.
This pet store still sells puppymill dogs even through they are not allowed to per the Chicago ordinance which requires them to only sell animals from shelters. They claim that they are abiding by the law but it's a lie as they are trying to get around it by applying to be a 501c non profit--which they obviously are not. There's no comparison between a true animal rescue organization and a pet shop. Don't shop here.

It's one of the last of a Mom & Pop Pet Shops that are still around run by a family, and treating the public like family as well and they will go out of there way to help you out such as if you need them to order something they will, if you need help with your fish, your dog, your cat, they can and will help you out ! All you gotta do is ask a question and helping you out will follow your being interested in a matter is one of there major concerns
