Marie is very rude and does her best to try to scam potential renters when showing the units. While it is legal to charge up to 2 months rent for a security deposit, her company also charges 2 application fees for a unit with a joint lease. This screams that they're out to squeeze every penny out of money strapped college students. They don't mention what their "deposit" is used for (i.e. application deposit vs security deposit) as to deter people from challenging them in court. I think Park East is a great place to live. I lived here for 2 years with a roommate in a 2 bedroom. During that time we did have minor maintenance issues which were always promptly fixed. The apartments are definitely dated, but the price reflects the quality. I thought Marie was a very fair and professional property manager. Would recommend to anyone looking for cheap living in a very nice neighborhood.

Everything from no water pressure to no electricity in my bedroom. The emergency guy came out to get paid and he did nothing but waste my time and piss me off worst. I have medical issues and need air purifiers to breath because they have a fool that sit out and smoke next door, and all his second hand smoke drifts to my apartment, to make third hand smoke.Yes, a house is calling my name.

Cheap / affordable living. Lived here for three years with roommates, apartment is OKAY but it does show its age. Heat and air works but unit itself has horrible insulation. Cold air and hot air depending which season ur in sips thru apt all the time. This is especially noticeable during winter when certain portion of apt is heated (2nd floor) and rest of it is ice cold. Marie is very rude and so property owner. We had to vacate the apartment (after we send 5 years and payment before time always) because we had twins in the fifth year of our stay.
