Okay, wow, I wish I would have read the reviews about the billing department first. They made me pay $4,000 on the day of my surgery assuring me that I needed to do that so that I would hit my max out of pocket and it wouldn't cause issues for other providers afterwards. Wrong. They took forever to submit their claim, putting my physical therapists and everyone else in limbo aftwards not knowing how to bill me. Surgical team was incredible and so kind. From the front desk entry to leaving everything was smooth and wonderful.
I was forced to pay $3157.38 up front on the day of surgery, they even told me on the front desk that that was the price after insurance, I assured them it would not be the case as my out of pocket wasn't even taken in to consideration which would lower the cost. As it turns out, they hadn't even run my insurance at the time. After my insurance paid them, my actual cost was $929.64. After consulting with another surgeon, asked to do local anesthesia (numb the area) rather than a general which knocks you out because of horrible past experience with anesthesia. In short, the anesthesiologist would not listen, rushed a signature and was vague when I asked him what I was signing (not knowing I was signing a treatment plan). I had surgery on Tuesday, July 9th, and it was a great experience! All of the staff were very personable, kind, and attentive. They were very thorough and made sure I understood the procedure as well as my limitations after surgery. I wasn't able to pay as much upfront as they requested, but they allowed a small balance down and setup payment plan for the remainder. A++++
