We have travelled extensively throughout the World. We have never encountered a hotel that was as horrible as the Peaks. We had a prepaid reservation at the Peaks for arrival on 07/03/2025, which was the day before the July 4th holiday weekend. My wife, who is hemiplegic, and I arrived at the Peaks at 5:30 PM on 07/03/2025. There was a sign on the entrance door stating that the Peaks was closed. Hotel is under renovation, no discounts on price. Pools closed. I look out my window and see about 15 rats running around the sitting area near the fire pit at 7:30am. I watched new customers come in and sit there. I mentioned this to the manager and he said “those are outside Rats”, Yikes

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. We booked months in advance through Booking com. The booking did not have a free cancellation policy. When we arrived, the hotel was undergoing renovations, which we knew about. However, the pool and gym were also closed. I didn't know that, and we had just finished a 10-day road trip and wanted to relax and do some sport units. The hotel is nice, the rooms are big but my complain is that its not soundproof. The floor is made up of woods. We can here the footsteps of the occupant in the above room. Also we can hear women talking outside even if its so late already. Not recommending this hotel to people who want peace and quiet for their stay.
