You get what you pay for. This hotel is relatively cheap. The elevators are slow and the break down, so be ready to wait in line to get to your room from the lobby. The surrounding area has really deteriorated, lots of vacant retail/restaurants. But nice being close to Central Park. Sad compared to years ago.
This hotel has been completely rebuilt and it looks like it should reopen in about a month. I would hope the clientel will change to somebody that's a tourist, not a weekly hotel. I will update when opened.
idc that this place is old. IDC that this place smells like the inside of a dingy gym. I don't even care that none of the lights work in my room. But room 403 has freaking blood stains on the wall in the bathroom and in the sink! The AC didn't work and when you turned it on it sounded like a terrible dying animal. I took a video of it and showed them at front check out. The guy just laughed and said it sounded like a goose.... Room didn't have phone and smelt awful. It is extremely cheap, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
