I recently visited Paris Baguette and had an unpleasant experience. While checking out, I noticed one of the employees moving pastries from one tray to another. She was wearing a glove on one hand, but her other hand was bare. When some bread stuck to the tray, she used her bare hand to push it down and touch the bread directly. That was very disappointing and unhygienic to see, especially in a place that serves fresh food. The cashier working in the front was taking a break outside of the store while smoking. That doesn’t seem very sanitary.
I came in a little bit before closing to buy a blueberry chiffon cake. I know the guy heard me right because he corrected the item in the register from "blueberry yogurt cake" to "blueberry chiffon cake." This man proceeds to look me in the eye and go to the back and give me a blueberry yogurt cake. Instead of being honest and saying they don't have a chiffon cake, they decided to charge me and give me the completely wrong cake.
