I lost my SD-Card (2GB) when I bought a lens and new card in your shop (1657 Broadway, N.Y.) on Saturday 11th oct. (maybe you remember the German couple with the "Nikon" and daughter who just wanted to buy a t-shirt). So unfortunately all of our holiday-pictures got lost. I have been reading the reviews about the suspect retail activities at Paramount Electronics. In October 2013 I was a victim of this store. My experience involved both >1500% hyperinflation and misselling and the use of fabricated websites purported to be from manufacturers but actually produced by the retailer. I sent my husband to buy wireless dr dre beats (wireless headphones). My husband thought he was doing a great thing by buying the "newest, latest model" and paid more for them ($410) than the price of $279 that I had told him they would be. Not only was the price inflated, but they were not wireless! When I went back the next day, they exchanged them and said they did not realize they were not wireless. They fooled me to buy an overpriced Axer lens. Do not enter the shop!!
Do not deal with this store. They are a blot on NYC. They misrepresent over priced product. Try and get a refund and they quote a no refund policy. We will report them to www.bbb.org.
We were there in November of last year. I bought what should have been a $20 memory card for my camera and a $10 camera strap...got to the register and they tried to charge me over $100 for it. Then the "manager" tried to bully us into paying for it since it was already in my camera. One of the sales creeps had opened the memory card and put it into my camera and also put the strap on efore I knew the price.
