Structurally, these stairs are excellent.. sturdy, safe, and well-engineered. But for a two story system, there’s a manufacturing flaw that prevents the upper support pole from sliding, as directed, into the lower one. Why? Because the weld seam inside the upper pole makes the fit impossibly tight. We had to spend over an hour grinding off a vertical strip of the lower (male) pole to accommodate that weld joint. We have a small cabin with a loft that we used a ladder for. Scott Lyle helped with our project and everything arrived in great condition. Took 2 of us about 7-8 hrs in total to install. Worth every bit wish we made the upgrade sooner and it makes our house feel so much more practical.
I am severely dissapointed in my experience with Paragon stairs. When we received the stairs, we noticed they did not include center ballisters which leaves gigantic gaps inbetween the main ballisters. This is not safe at all and I am severely dissapointed that this was not addressed by the company. They claim to be the most consultive spiral stair company but they sold me dangerous stairs. We will see if they are willing to make things right as I have contacted the company.
The worst experience I’ve ever had with an agent (Steve). I simply asked if I can send the floor plans to so if there were any stair options priced lower than $35K, and he immediately assumed I wanted a 50% discount. His response was extremely rude, he said I looked at the floor plan when I have time, I ended up having to hang up the call.
