Dr. Southerland has been the most amazing pediatrician for our family, for over 13 years. She has taken such great care of our kids, has always been so patient with us, and genuinely cares about them. She has supported my son with allllll his minor medical issues, and she caught my daughter's lifelong autoimmune disease so quickly I can't even believe it. I have no idea where my kids' health would be without her guidance and knowledge, and I'm so happy to have her. She is not allowed to retire until my kids are 18!
Dr. Southerland and her team — including her PA have consistently given us excellent care. The receptionist is lovely and is able to mediate between her medical team and gets you an appointment swiftly when your child is sick. They go above and beyond, calling you at the weekends when needed, I am so delighted to find this expert and kind family practice.
I thought it did a good enough search before my daughter was born to find a good fit. My dad is a pediatrician and my mom is a pediatric nurse so I understand how difficult it can be. That being said, my daughter didn't meet the Pediatrician until her first sick visit then her 4 month a week later. The PA was fine but that really bothered us. from the beginning we wanted to hold her during her vaccinations. we asked and gave in every time. the last time we went I cited the cdc recommending that parents hold and asked again. ... read more
Dr. Southerland is a wonderful physician. She was kind, knowledgeable, and great with babies, and PA J was also excellent. Unfortunately, several issues during our visits led us to transfer our daughter’s care despite the positive interactions with the providers. One main concern was inconsistency in how our infant’s measurements were taken. At one visit, she was weighed in only a clean diaper, while at another visit she was asked to be completely naked, which makes accurate weight tracking difficult for infants. We also not... read more
Nicole one of the receptionists who answers the phone was super rude. She first said a nurse could call me in between patients then said no we’re not taking on new patients at this time and hung up on me. I will be informing management to look at her and her unprofessionalism and I’ll be in with my husband to report it also in person this happened 6/18/2025
