I am a former staff member who had to leave because of racism and bullying. This branch is known for this. Not a place to work at all.
They have a good rotation of empathetic people providing care, even if it is late in the evening or night, and for that I am beyond thankful. The care teams, whether a nurse or assistant, are so patient and calming to the elderly in my life - many of whom have sensitivities and behavioural stressors. My child, who has a congenital disability, has been receiving services for four years. While we've had some good experiences, we ride the waves and things even out. However recent changes in home care services have felt neglectful and even harmful to the people they are meant to help. There have been issues like poor communication, hard-to-access services, actions that don't focus on the patient's best interests, discrimination, and a lack of respect for the patient’s needs and opinions.
