Loving the experience
We got the new unit. Everything is great. The resort and the surrounding use red/ yellow light to reduce light pollution. On the lucky night ( minimal moon illumination), you can see the "fade" Mikey Way at the resort parking lot, but you have to be able to recognize it . Go to Mauna kea visitor center and attend the free presentation at night and you will learn how to recognize the Mikey Way.
Check in was easy and the customer service was on point. We got a 2bd 2 bath which were upstairs. Master bedroom with connected bathroom and a room with a bathroom just outside the door. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels to use. Very spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you need (microwave, oven, stove top, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a good sink. Dining room table and couch section down stairs with a TV. TV in every room as well. Great place to stay.
