Updated 1/2024: After several great years of care here, I had decided to choose another psychiatrist. Originally, Dr. Hazel had previously been patient with me, knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate in my care. I've was very lucky to find Dr. Hazel when i did. He was the right person at the right time. I had just entered the most critical period of my life, and I don't know what would have happened had I not come to him, the first psychiatrist I picked listed on my on plan. Always professional. Great doctor, I was nervous for my first appointment but looking forward to my next one. Grateful that Dr Hazel was referred to me by a friend.
Total negligence as he gave a diagnosis (after limited observation) that was the opposite of one given by a court-appointed psychiatrist and a behavioral health hospital. He even attempted to support his diagnosis in court testimony. Ten year later, his diagnosis and recommendations were proven to be horrifically incorrect to the detriment of the family involved.
He was recommended to me for anxiety disorder. He is so calm and peaceful, it helps me talk about things that are bothering me. If I had to change psychiatrist, I'd be very disappointed.
Dr. Hazel is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate about helping his patients. He is head and shoulders above my last psychiatrist. Yes, his schedule fills up rapidly, but he's worth waiting for, in my opinion. Thank you, Dr. Hazel, for helping me manage my care.
I chose to make an appt. w/Dr. Hazel because of reviews & endorsements as 1 of top 3 psychiatrist in area.I made my appointment 1st week of September & unfortunately he was not available for a new patient appointment 'til Oct. 10th. I understood this as those who are great are obviously hard to get into. I called on Sept. 22nd to confirm and it was confirmed.On the following Monday,I received a message-cancelled as he won't be in &rescheduling for the week after. It's a human beings health.
