Got an X-ray at Gritman. Then I received a bill from a company that I had never heard of, had no contact with, and had no need for, Palouse Imaging Consultants, in addition to the bill from Gritman. I was told that Palouse Imaging Consultants is hired to look at X-rays done at Gritman. I have no idea why Gritman cannot look at its own X-rays. I also didn't need Gritman or Palouse to look at the X-ray, since both my general practitioner's office AND my orthopedist would be doing that anyway. (I never got any opinion from Palo... read more

Got a detailed analysis of my x-rays which specifically stated I did not have a fractured thumb. A month later an ortho specialist looked at the same x-rays and pointed out where my thumb was very obviously fractured. He said he would have put me in a cast for 6 weeks if he'd seen them sooner. Luckily it healed alright on its own as I kept it immobilized even though no one told me to.

All to many times I've had specialist look at imaging done at Gritman that find things wrong that palouse imaging missed.
