Spent 13 days at this facility after 4 surgeries at UCSD. Dr Shah was great, as was Melissa Rakowsky PT director and her staff of Klyle, McKenna McKenna, Gina, Rob and both Laurens. All were excellent especially Melissa R. The one bad thing is, there are Diabetic patients (including myself) there and no diabetic meals were offered. I had to send back several lunch and dinners because of the sugar and carb content.
My seven day experience at PHRI was mostly very positive. I arrived after eight days in Scripps hospital for a complex pelvic surgery. The dietician asked the first day about food allergies or other special needs, and followed up a few days later to make sure that I was being served properly. I was very happy with the food quality and portions. My doctors, both Dr. S and Dr. P, had good communications skills.
