I’m here now for rehab with MS and after a week in the hospital with a CSF leak. The staff is wonderful, and the therapy is very helpful. The food is tasty. The room is comfortably cool with a nice hvac sound as the cool air comes through the vent. However, The hospital beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard. The facility provides pillows for sleeping that are used in ambulances for the patients. That is beyond ridiculous! Ambulance pillows are not bed pillows. This place should be 5 stars period!!! Amazing PT/OT people. If I could have stayed longer to get better I would have. And the food is way better than a hospital. Thank you to all the staff!!!
My husband has been a patient at Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute twice in the past 6 months. Everything about this facility is top quality: the Facility, Accommodations, Staff and the Program. Patients are meant to get better here. Both times my husband was a patient he made great improvement from the time he was admitted. Highly recommend.
Spent 13 days at this facility after 4 surgeries at UCSD. Dr Shah was great, as was Melissa Rakowsky PT director and her staff of Klyle, McKenna McKenna, Gina, Rob and both Laurens. All were excellent especially Melissa R. The one bad thing is, there are Diabetic patients (including myself) there and no diabetic meals were offered. I had to send back several lunch and dinners because of the sugar and carb content.
