My brother was transferred here after open heart surgery at Palomar Hospital. His experience was excellent (as was mine as his caregiver). The doctors, nurses and therapists are competent and caring. The facility is also in great shape: everything was well organized and super clean. In short, it’s 5 Star worthy. The only downside (and it’s not under PHG Rehab’s control) is parking in the adjacent garage is expensive and adds up especially after a lengthy hospital stay. Free parking is not easily accessible. I'm giving a 5-star review for the actual rehab center where my son stayed for 1 week as the staff (PT) was exceptional! I want to speak about the billing dept, though, which I know is an offsite operation. In the past 3 days, I have left about 15 messages to 3 different voicemails and haven't received 1 call back. I am utterly disgusted and frustrated that they care so little about customer service that they can't take a few minutes to return a phone call. “When you can be anything…BE KIND” This statement reflects the culture that I experienced in my recent 9 day stay at Palomar Rehab. I was there after a 3 day hospital stay at Palomar Hospital to repair a broken hip incurred from a fall..
