RecommendedDrove from Tulsa to Amarillo primarily to see the canyon. You could only get in the state park with reservations and they were full. We were glad they were. Went to palo duro Jeep tours and had a fantastic time.linda, Darrell, and case were fabulous. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend
Current restrictions are not highlighted on the state parks website to properly make people visiting the area aware of the fact that they need a reservation for even day use. As State owned land no residents of the state of Texas should be restof at least Day use of the park. the Texas state government and the Park system is destroying their income ability yo make sure parks can stay open and be properly maintained. open the parks back up and stop tying the hands of Texas residents looking for good outdoor activities in thes... read more

One of my absolute favorite places in the world. Well worth the drive no matter where you are. I feel like you could spend a month here and still not see everything.

Everything. Beautiful place so much to do there. The night sky is incredible! I survived the 6 mile round trip of the Lighthouse Trial totally worth it.
